The first thing to do before you even start is to make sure towels and bathmats are washed so that when you put them back into the clean bathroom, everything is done.

Make sure that the bathroom is tidy and everything is put away in its rightful place.

Start the cleaning process with your trusty hoover - I use my Miele Cat & Dog Hoover. Go right around the top of your bathroom, into every corner and don't forget the extractor fan.

Once everything is hoovered, put on your gloves and get to work on the bath and shower area. Take the products off of surfaces and any storage areas like shelves and trays, then give it all a good spray with Method Bathroom Cleaner and get scrubbing with your Minky sponge.

Remember to get right up and over the top of your shower head, and pay attention to the holes the water comes from. I use Limelite to spray up into the small openings and flick any limescale build-up out.

Spray your Method Bathroom Cleaner around the bath and give that a good scrub. I find it so much easier to do this standing in the bath! Use the abrasive side of the Minky to give it a good scrub.

I should say that with all of the products I use in my home, I do try not to use too much and go gently. We have to be so mindful of what goes down our plugholes and the effect this could potentially be having on the environment, so do please endeavour to use as little as possible.

Make sure you have a really good clean around your plughole on the outside as well as the inside and be vigilant at removing anything stuck in there.

Rinse off all of your products from the entire area you’ve just cleaned.

Limescale can build up all over the bathroom, particularly around grouting so spray Limelite on these areas and use a scouring sponge to get right in there - these are a little more abrasive than the Minky sponge.

Moving onto the shower screen and the build-up of limescale around where the metal and glass meet. Grab your pot of Pink Stuff and a scouring sponge, then give it all a good rub down. You can use a toothbrush here if need be, they are good for tackling corners and harder to reach areas.

Rinse off everything you've done.

To tackle the shower screen itself, I use two products. Method's Daily Shower works brilliantly to prevent the build-up of limescale and soap scum, but the Method Glass Cleaner is good for if it needs a good clean. Of course, partnered with one of my trusty Spontex cloths.

To clean the towel rail, simply slide a feather duster between each of the rails!

When cleaning the sink area, take everything off first. Tooth mugs need to go through the dishwasher at least once a week so now would be a good time to swap out for a clean one and get the current one into the wash.

Use your Minky partnered with Method Bathroom Cleaner to get it nice and clean. Get right in behind taps, around and under the plughole, and the tile areas around the sink too. Don’t forget to clean electric toothbrush bases, nail brushes, bottles and soap dishes etc too! Give it all a good rinse down when you're done.

For the mirror above the sink (and any others in the bathroom for that matter!) use the Method Glass Cleaner. Carefully wipe all over with your cloth from earlier. Don’t forget frames and the top - you can use your feather duster for this. If you have lamps/lampshades, you can give them a blitz with the hairdryer to remove any dust settled there.

Lastly, onto the loo! I use Astonish Tablets - these tackle limescale, calcium and rust. You simply pop one into the toilet bowl and leave for at least 20 mins to get to work.

Whilst they're doing their thing, give the entire toilet a spritz with your Method Bathroom Cleaner and using your blue cloth (blue for the loo! That way it never gets used elsewhere) give the whole thing a good wipe down.

Don’t ignore your loo brush! A great bathroom hack is to pop Zoflora into the bottom of the loo brush holder itself, thereby disinfecting and adding a lovely scent!

Once the Astonish tablets have been working for at least 20 mins (you can leave these overnight if needed), grab your tin mug and old scouring sponge. These are kept together tucked safely away in a bathroom cupboard so the entire household knows they are JUST for loo cleaning. Use the mug to lift out some water to lower the level so you can scrub easier without splashing everywhere. This is where the long-sleeved gloves come into their own!

I hope you've found all of those tips useful, do you have any bathroom hacks that you like to use in the home? I'd love to hear about them!

Love,
