How To Make Simple Kitchen Frill Curtains for Stylish Storage Solutions (Step-by-Step DIY Guide)

This week, I got stuck into a DIY project to bring a bit more storage and style to the kitchen.

With the new bar stools in and a bit of clutter that needed tucking away, I decided to make some simple frill curtains using a lovely green ticking fabric. I show you each step – from measuring the fabric, cutting and sewing to how I iron, hem, and stitch each seam, with a few handy tricks to keep it all lined up.

You’ll also see how I attach the curtains on a wire system under the counter. It had its moments of trial and error, but came together in the end!

There’s something so satisfying about making these myself. They bring a nice, soft touch to the kitchen and hide away the bits and pieces we’d rather keep out of sight. And since they’re easy to take down, I can wash them whenever they need freshening up.

If you’re up for a simple sewing project I'll take you through everything step-by-step, so come have a watch – it’s a practical, beginner-friendly DIY that really makes a difference in the home.

Love, Charlie x
