Family Day at Ascot, Home Updates, and Half-Term Fun (Plus a Visit to Mars!)

This week was jam-packed, with the highlight being our invitation to Ascot for a family day. The weather cleared up perfectly after a stormy night, and once inside, we soaked up the Ascot atmosphere, cheering on a few wins with lovely company in the grandstand. It really was a wonderful day, and we were so grateful for the invitation.

Back at home, it’s been a typical “mum taxi” week, juggling half-term activities. Arch and his friends stayed over in the Shepherd’s Hut, and Coco and Gus have also kept busy with friends. I even managed to get back into my fitness routine with a quick workout, which felt great!

The house is coming along nicely too: my copper hanging storage arrived, new shelves went up in the kitchen, and the much-anticipated fridge was finally installed! Simon and I also made a dash to Chichester to see Luke Jerram’s incredible Mars installation at the cathedral—if you get the chance, do visit. It’s amazing to see the detailed surface up close, especially when accompanied by the dramatic lighting and music.

If you want to catch all the details, from the races to the home updates and everything in between, do pour a cup of tea and settle in for the full vlog!

Love, Charlie x
