Family, Farm Life & Festive Prep: Cosy Autumn Days on the Farm (Petworth Visit & More!)

This week has been full of family moments, home projects, and farm life as we settle into the Autumn season. Simon and Archie enjoyed a day out in London for some real tennis, while Gus and I tackled school shopping, and Coco focused on dressage training for her pony club competition.

At home, I’ve been completing small kitchen projects amidst renovations, making curtains, reconfiguring our new fridge, and starting on Christmas cards with our family photo. The farm is bustling too, with fencing repairs, a farrier visit, and a few cosy autumn touches in the house - do watch along to see what I picked up! I visited beautiful Petworth, exploring new arrival 'Little Red' and its wonderful selection of gifts, alongside its sister shop, Red Card, perfect for finding something unique. I adore Petworth, there really is something for everyone and with its blend of arts, history, and the charm of a classic market town, it's a firm favourite for a day out.

This week marks six years since I started Ask Charlie, and it’s incredible to see how far it’s come. I’ve poured my heart and soul into building this community and sharing my journey with all of you. I’m still as passionate about this as when I began, and it’s lovely to feel that connection with so many of you. If you know someone who’d enjoy the channel, I’d love for you to share it with them – as I always say, the more, the merrier!

Reflecting on all the changes we’ve made as a family recently, I’m reminded how initially daunting steps can lead to calm and happiness. I hope this inspires anyone considering a fresh start!

So, grab a warm drink, settle in, and enjoy a peek into life on the farm this week...

Love, Charlie x
