My everyday make-up routine! Follow my steps for a natural & fresh look for the day...

I've been asked by a few of my followers to show you my everyday makeup.

I've got a few pigmentation problems and so to begin, I always wear SPF 50. You do need to put it on quite a long time in advance so it sinks in nicely before further makeup application. I’ve got both tinted and non-tinted La Roche Posay versions, the tinted one is a little dark for the autumn/winter season but it works fabulously in the warmer months when you perhaps don’t want such a heavy coverage of makeup base!

I use ByTerry's UV SPF 50 Primer - it is horribly expensive, but it is amazing - quite a luxury item but wonderful stuff!

I then apply ByTerry concealer - this goes under my eyes and on any blemishes, plus a little around my nose and above my eyes. This concealer has such a nice light texture, and really does sit well on the skin. It also doesn’t find its way into creases which is great.

Next up, I always curl my eyelashes. I really think that it makes a massive difference, making you look a lot more awake. Even if I don't bother with makeup, I do try and remember to curl them before I go out.

Following that I apply some of my Jane Iredalefoundation. What I do love about this product is that it has SPF 20 in it and it comes as a really handy compact. It features a little pad that you can wipe it on with, but I tend to use a stumpy brush by the same brand.

Applying powder foundation in this way is tonnes easier than liquid foundation, which I did love for years, and gives great coverage in a shorter time frame. As another plus, it is so much tidier to apply since you don’t have to touch any of the foundation with your hands - just open the compact, brush it on and go!

Jane Iredale are a great online company. Shopping online for make up is slightly irritating as it would be lovely to go and try the products beforehand, but they can send you little testers if you request them.

Now it’s time for blusher. I actually use two blushers - Lancome (the colour has worn off i’m afraid!) and Nars - Orgasm. I apply a little of the Lancome on the apples of my cheeks, followed by a touch of the Nars shade along the tops of my cheekbones.

One of my favourite little tricks to add slight warmth and contouring is to use a simple bronzer such as my Rimmel one and a brush - just draw a number 3 around your hairline, cheekbones and under your jaw.

Eyeliner-wise, to open my eyes a little I just pop some along the lower lash line and a little in the corners of my eyes. If i’m going out in the evening i’ll apply a little more.

For my mascara I use Benefit Primer and 'They're Real’. I apply the primer if I have time, followed by the colour. I always use a black mascara for maximum definition. Do keep some cotton buds handy for tidying up mess you may make!

Now for lips, I apply a normal lip salve first to soften and hydrate before adding any colour. Next up I add a little covering of Lancome lip liner in a nude. I’ve always been a little scared of lipstick so lip liner and salve works really well for me. Sometimes I’ll add a little Bobbi Brown ‘Hippy Shakes’ for some extra lip colour!

What products do you use every day?
