Introducing Your Ask Charlie Family Meal Guide & Planner!

So today is very exciting!

A few weeks ago I put out a question on my Instagram stories, asking what you would like to know more about or what you may need some help with.

I had lots of answers about food preparation, mealtimes, how to handle fussy eaters, planning meals, recipes and shopping lists!

So over the last few weeks, I have been busy creating my very first product for sale, and it is now ready to share with you all!

When I was 20 years old I spent time with a family caring for the children - who were very fussy eaters! I returned from looking after another family in Italy and was immediately snapped up that very same afternoon for a job in South Devon that was supposed to be a 2-week position…I stayed for a year!

During that year I did lots of cooking, including helping with dinner parties - I also made lots of phone calls to my mother to ask for her help!

This is when I started to absolutely love cooking and providing food for children.

These children were particularly fussy, I actually had to make the journey back a fair few times following the job to pop some of my food into the freezer for them! That experience certainly taught me a thing or two about feeding fussy eaters along the way.

Now don’t get me wrong, sometimes my children can be fussy too! But I have used these skills to ensure my children get a balanced, healthy diet.

We also have a fantastic paediatrician friend who I have mentioned before, he has provided some great advice in the guide too.

So the guide consists of a few sections:

Recipes for the week

These go right from Monday breakfast to Sunday supper. There is only one dessert recipe for the Sunday after lunch, as I really try not to encourage sweet stuff all the time. My children can treat themselves to a yoghurt, some fruit or similar if they clear their plate.

Fussy Eaters

As mentioned above, I’ve collected everything I can from my experiences and knowledge and written my own guide to tackle fussy eaters.

Helpful Tips

Helpful every day tips for the kitchen!

Shopping List

Print off and take with you to the supermarket - this shopping list has everything you need for the week ahead!

Printable Meal Plan

Every bit of the guide is printable, but this is particularly useful to print out and stick to the fridge so you can keep track! There is also a blank one for your own personalisation!

These recipes don’t have to be for children, of course, use it as you see fit! You can mix and match the recipes, use the blank meal plan template to slot in some other meals you may love and know work well, there’s something for everybody.

I also advise on batch cooking and freezing to take the stress out of those times when guests pop over or children appear!

I really hope that with the summer holidays upon us, this can be helpful to you.

We have used Teachable to bring this guide to you so you can pay super-easily and securely through PayPal. When it comes to printing the sections, simply scroll right the way down to the bottom of the page and hit that download button then print as you wish.

Visit my Teachable school HERE to purchase or head to the SHOP section on the main menu of this site!

I really do hope you love it as much as I have loved created it, and please do spread the word! It would mean so much to me to see these tried and tested family favourites enjoyed by others!

As always, any questions please just ask.

Love,
