An honest conversation, remembrance and a bit of make-up!

This week is a mix of honest conversations, remembrance and my every day natural make up.

First I show you around the Lamb and Newt pop-up sale, which was a complete feast for the eyes! I met Lamb & Newt through the Midhurst Buds & Blooms Society, and they had done a phenomenal job of filling a wonderfully old barn with treasures galore. It was just amazing!

That was followed by wonderful remembrance and bonfire events at both Coco and Gus’s schools, both of which were beautiful displays.

I also talk you through my everyday makeup routine, showing you each of the products and how I apply them. I’m a huge fan of the au naturale look, and think I’ve found the absolute perfect products to achieve it in almost no time at all! Do watch to see what I apply and how.

Then, I bring you along with me to London, where I visited our family gynaecologist to talk all things hormones. Having spoken to Dr Katie Armstrong on my podcast recently regarding menopause, I felt I needed to address some things that have started to creep up on me.

My hair has been falling out, I’ve been unbelievably emotional, feeling out of sorts, very flat and just peculiar overall. We spoke about absolutely everything and I came out with a humungous understanding of myself and my body.

It is so worth chatting with somebody if you’re feeling out of the ordinary, don’t be afraid to speak up!

And finally, I speak about the importance of therapy and how it can help you work through things you didn’t even realise were coming to the surface.

Of course, I am beyond thrilled with Archie having the time of his life in Scotland now, but with his departure, I’ve uncovered old emotions and memories of my relationship with Mum and how much she used to hate saying goodbye. So much so that she would disappear and not even go through with the act, leaving us all quite bewildered and hurt. I wish I could tell her that I understand that pain now, and I forgive her. The beauty of therapy is that I can work through this realisation and make peace with it, so I’ll be bringing it up during my next session!

I hope you love this week’s vlog - do let me know if you like these ‘come along with me’ videos or would rather my more direct how-tos (or a mix of both?) I’d love to know!

Love, Charlie x
