Welcoming Tory & Saying Goodbye to Colin – A Week of Change & Reflection (Weekly Vlog)

This week has been full of change. I welcomed Tory, our newest addition, who needs TLC after a tough time. She was rescued by the Corsica Foundation and now has a loving home with us. She’s settling in beautifully, bonding with Santana, and I’m giving her the care she needs.

At the same time, it was time to say goodbye to Colin as he moved to his new home with Lydia. He’s been such a big part of my life, so while I knew it was the right decision, it was still incredibly emotional. Seeing him happy, bonding and settling in with Lydia was really special.

In the midst of all the horse changes, we had two back-to-back nights out—first, a black-tie dinner and then a wonderful Burns Night celebration. It was a mad dash from the yard to getting dressed up, but it was so much fun. I wore something very special for Burns Night—Sigh’s old school kilt, unworn for over 50 years but perfectly preserved by his mother! It felt so special to wear it.

Back home, I’ve been catching up—organising, restocking, and of course, making more marmalade! I also filmed a video on keeping an AGA clean, and started using the Simple app to help me get back into a healthier routine, which I talk about fully and demonstrate in the vlog.
