This week’s vlog is an emotional one. We had to unexpectedly retire our beloved Cassie immediately.

She suffered a very frightening and completely out-of-the-blue seizure at The South Of England event. It was Coco’s warm-up for Windsor in a few weeks’ time, a dream of hers, which is sadly on hold for the time being.

Coco has been incredibly brave, courageous and a lot more composed than me! I am so proud of how she is dealing with the fact that she cannot ride her again, she really was the pony of a lifetime. It’s been a truly heart-breaking time what with the passing of dear Maud and now this.

Simon and my brother have been immensely supportive, and the entire situation has just really reminded me of how we should live in the moment. We must be grateful for what we have and to enjoy the present. You never know when it could be taken away!

For now, we are taking the best care of her, remembering the good times and feeling thankful for all the memories. It was a dream come true to ride side by side with her last year, and that is a memory I will treasure for the rest of my life.

I also bring you along with me into the garden and greenhouse for a few updates, it’s all coming along beautifully and I’m anticipating a fabulous haul of homegrown loveliness this year. Lastly, I give you a quick peek into some new additions to my capsule Spring wardrobe.
