How To Bring A Garden To Life: Planting, Pruning & Harvesting (Garden Tour & Tips)

This week I've made the most of the bright, dry days and got out into the garden! I took a little tour of the space and got stuck into planting a few bits.

The garden here is absolutely incredible – the previous tenants were landscape gardeners, so it’s full of charm and potential, but it definitely needs a little TLC after going slightly wild before the move. I’m taking it slow, just keeping things maintained for now and seeing what surprises come up. The box hedge has been hit hard by caterpillars, but after a good spray, there are signs of life – fingers crossed it fully recovers.

Over in the kitchen garden, things are thriving! I’ve been harvesting apples (and yes, there’s obviously been apple cake!) and planting some of my favourite herbs like thyme and bay. It’s such a joy to have fresh produce right outside the door, and I’m excited to see it all come together. There’s so much going on, from deadheading roses to making sure everything gets watered – and the view alone makes it all worth it.

I’ll be sharing loads more out here over the next few months, so be sure to watch my Friday vlogs for all the garden updates and a glimpse into how things are evolving.

Love, Charlie
