Horsing around at Hickstead, a wardrobe clear out and my current skincare routine
After a very emotional week, it was so lovely to spend some time with my darling Coco doing what we love best, horsing around with Hooch, Cassie and Colin!

I chose not to post last week out of respect for Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. I felt like I needed some time to process the event, and wanted to just leave space in my mind to decompress and sit with my feelings. It’s all been quite hard to put into words, she was such an incredible lady who lived a full life of service and loyalty and there truly will never be anyone quite like her.
I spent the past few days engaging in my own kind of therapy, sorting the house and riding with my girl. Coco and Hooch won a show jumping competition out of 75 entrants which was the most wonderful achievement, Coco, Cassie, Colin and I took part in a side-saddle demo at Hickstead and then we went on plenty of glorious, chilled, countryside hacks.
Coco also had a very exciting package delivered from KM Elite, and I think it’s fair to say all the ponies were elated with the contents!
I also heard from Archie, who is absolutely living his dreams up in Scotland. He’s settled in wonderfully, has thrown himself into everything offered and has even signed himself up for extra maths… I know! Honestly, the whole affair has been heart-wrenching for Sigh and I, but when you get such positive feedback from both him and the school, you know you’ve done the right thing.
Lastly, I tackled the changeover of my wardrobe from Summer clothes to Autumn, and received a couple of fabulous new skincare products from L’Occitane, which I’ll take you through in the video!
