Getting ready for the weekend and meeting Billy the tortoise

This week I thought I’d share with you what I do on a Friday to get ready for the weekend.

I like to take time to set everything straight, so I can start the weekend on a good note and not on the back foot – I get the house straight, get up to date on the laundry, make sure I have food in the fridge for the weekend and that generally, everything is under control.

After a long week, we want to enjoy the weekend if we can! We don’t want to spend too much time doing the cleaning/laundry when we could be spending time together as a family and making the most of the days.

Here’s one of my absolute top tips – every Friday evening, I get the children to sort out their school bags and sports kits so they’re ready, washed and completely done for the next week to avoid last-minute Sunday panic!
