An insight into my Spring/Summer capsule wardrobe! My favourite pieces, must-visit shops & styling tips...

I've had quite a few requests to talk to you about clothes, my favourite pieces, where I shop and how I would style bits and pieces together for certain events!

So I thought this week I would take you through what I'm loving at the moment.

Now, of course, we are all still in lockdown, but I am still making a bit of an effort!

Some of my absolute favourite shops are Zara, J.Crew, Gap and H&M. I used to avoid H&M as I was a bit of a snob when it came to their clothes, but after going in for a few pieces for the children I realised that they have some fantastic bits all year round, and the quality can be fabulous!

I also adore Marks & Spencer for their cashmere and wonderful Julianna Heale for some beautiful curated new and pre-loved pieces.

Do bear in mind that you can always alter pieces! It's so easy to do or have done for you, so if you find a piece that is almost there but not quite, just keep in mind that it can likely be adjusted to work perfectly.

Go for pieces that will work throughout the seasons - look to things that can be layered, or adjusted throughout the year. For example, a dress that can be worn bare legged in the Summer and layered with tights in the Winter!

I actually did a fashion degree (sadly I didn't finish it!), now I am not an instagram fashionista at all but I absolutely love dressmaking and I love clothes. I think there's something very special about creating your own pieces or altering another to make it your own!

I believe it makes such a difference when you feel good in what you're wearing, and at the moment it's all the more important to feel good. If there's something in your wardrobe makes you feel on top of the world - go and put it on! Why not!
